AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
The past few days have been so crazy and stress filled I just cannot even believe it.
Let's start with Thursday: the only good thing in the past week. I got a new job! I went to the new Cracker Barrel that is opening in 2 weeks and got hired on the spot. A lot of people are a little skeptical, but, it can't be any worse than $28 a shift, which is what I made today. Also a few pluses: you turn your tables like crazy (in 30-45 minutes), there is no tip-out to the bussers and hostesses, and I don't have to speil and provide awesome service. Also, they have a breakfast shift which will be nice to work on the weekends, so maybe I could actually (gasp!) have some nights off to spend with my boyfriend.
I had to ask my parents for money to pay my rent...which they gave me, after making me feel worse than I already did about it. But I am really grateful that they were able to help me out.
Friday I started feeling kind of blah, like I had a cold or something coming on. I worked my shift anyways and made $85. That's right. On a friday night I did not even make $100.
Saturday I had Brian check out my car since I had to put air in my tires....and guess what? I desperately need new tires for my car. My front tires are almost completley bald, but my back tires are fine. Brian, being the amazing man that he is, rotated my tires for me while I was working so that I at least have my good tires on the front!
Yesterday I started feeling more and more like total shit physically, I was running a fever most of the day and my throat was throbbing and my glands are swollen as hell. It was slow as crap at work because of the Superbowl so I made a whopping $26 on my lunch shift....that'll buy some new tires.
Today has been horrible. It started with me waking up feeling like someone had been clawing my throat out all night, still running a fever now combined with a massive headache. Said headache did not get better when my CAR OVERHEATED ON THE FUCKING HIGHWAY. Once again, I am lucky to have such an awesome boyfriend. He took a personal day off work, came and followed me home in my car(which took like an hour cuz we could only go about 2 miles before we had to turn it off and let it cool off), then dropped me off at my apt. I was freaking out because of my obvious lack of money so Jess was real nice and gave me her closing shift for lunch and even drove me there. Brian spent the afternoon fixing my car, luckily it was just a cracked hose that only cost like $12 and not a cracked head gasket like he thought it might of been. My car is fixed now but only after an afternoon of stress and worrying and trying to figure out what I was going to do if the worst case scenerio was in fact true.
Tomorrow morning if I am not feeling better I am going to goto the Dr, since I'm kind of worried I might have strep throat. But as of right now I'm sitting here, trying to study for my test that I have tomorrow but it's hard to concentrate since I feel like total ass and all I want to do is goto bed.
